Today I am half-way done with chemo! Yeah! I am on Spring Break this week and taking it easy but didn’t get out of chemo today. 6 weekly treatments and 6 more to go! I am thankful for the nurses, doctors and lab techs who compassionately care for me every week. So far I’ve had no major problems with chemo or nausea but I had a reaction the 2nd week and had to slow down and get more steroids. I also have some neuropathy in my fingers and toes but it is mild and my friends, Susan and Randy, bought me some cold therapy gloves and socks.
I am losing most of my hair but I have a little so I’m wearing my very short hair most of the time and hats or my wig only occasionally. It’s more natural for me not to wear anything on my head and I feel more like myself. I’m watching out for sun sensitivity but trying to get outside some when I feel like it. The weather is warming up now and the days are longer since the time change so I have more time in the evening to enjoy it. I absolutely love walking and the outdoors but I have to tune it down with my fatigue and keep up my energy. I’m keeping a positive attitude and learning how God can take care of my every need.
God is faithful and loves me. He loves you so much too! “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but he will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
