Well, here I am in the chemo chair to start my first day of chemo for breast cancer. My mediport was installed Friday and I was able to recover from that surgery over the weekend. Please pray for the medicines to work correctly and that I don’t have any adverse reactions. My spirits are high and I know God is always with me. I feel relaxed and know He has this and everything will be ok. The meals have been terrific and I’m prayed over by many friends. It is so wonderful to have a support system that is there to lend a helping hand. Thank you for your continued prayers. I appreciate you! Encouraging messages on my blog also help me feel loved.

You’ve definitely got this! Prayers all continues to go smoothly, and the parts that don’t that you lean on those around you. Its hard to let people care for you when you are usually the one in that role but do yourself a favor and let them!

Praying that you tolerate the medications well! Be sure to ask for Emend for nausea. I took one pill on Day 1, 2, and 3 of chemo week and rarely had any nausea (along with what they give you prior to chemo in your IV and dexamethasone tablets.) Zyrtec (cetirizine) 10mg before chemo helps prevent bone pain!
