Chemo Day #4: Wednesday, March 2, 2022

Hello friends and loved ones! I’m here in the chemo chair again taking the poison they prescribed for me to kill the cancer inside. I started this post last week and I’m just finishing it today. (March 9)

It has been a very long week and a lot has happened since February. I was very sick with a respiratory infection, asthma flare-up and weak immune system. After spending the weekend in bed and barely moving around the house, having extreme coughing fits and bruising ribs from coughing, havning pneumonia and wheezing, I was exhausted. From Monday, 2/28 to Friday, 3/4 I was taking tons of breathing treatments for my asthma, got 2 shots of antibiotics and oral antibiotics and taking cough medicine galore. I took chemo Wednesday so that weakened me somewhat by Friday and Saturday but I was able to attend my son’s wedding on Sunday. Resting as much as I could and sitting frequently is not my normal mode of operation but that’s what this Mother of the Groom was required to do. It was a wonderful wedding and I had time Monday to rest and recover to prepare for the week ahead of Spring Break. We have Open House coming up and then Spring Break March 14-18. I’ll still do chemo next week but having time off to get fully well and regain my voice will be super. Thanks for reading my post and thank you for your continued prayers for healing!

I’m sorry you have been going through such a rough time physically but so glad you were able to attend the wedding. The pictures on Facebook are great. You and Wayne make a beautiful couple. The bride and groom looked good too. Must be good genes.
