Chemo Day #5 was the day before my 50th birthday (March 3rd). I was looking forward to the weekend of my son’s wedding. Colin married Zoe on Sunday, 3/6/2022. We were so excited and blessed to share in this very special ceremony and fantastic reception. It was a wonderful wedding and the bride and groom looked amazing!
My allergies and asthma are getting better after a ton of coughing and feeling bad last week. I spent more time resting and taking it easy to feel better. Thank goodness I didn’t have a coughing fit in the wedding and I maintained enough energy to dance with my son (mother/son dance) and enjoy it! I am doing well but don’t quite have my voice back 100%.
God is teaching me to slow down, as I wrote about a couple of weeks ago. Selah. My family is helping me with whatever I need at the time and the MealTrain and friends are super efficient. I haven’t cooked in nearly 3 weeks and that helps conserve my energy too. We are so very thankful for all of the prayers, meals and encouraging words in my journey. God is always faithful to be near me and He loves me through kind and generous family and friends. “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8.
Love,

It was a fabulous day and I’m so glad Colin found his love. Zoe is so sweet and loves him with her whole heart as well. They are an amazing couple!
